All-thread is not a good material from which to make U-bolts except in an
emergency. As they work in varying winds the threads will cut into the secured
tubing and quickly loosen. Ref about 50 years hurricane experience on the Gulf
Coast up through four days ago. I have a dumb TV antenna here that went up
before Alicia and just survived another one. The cable has been up and down
since Saturday but that antenna is like the Energizer Bunnie. It just keeps
going and going and going.
