[Boatanchors] Good advice!

Our "hobby" was never intended to be a hobby, but emergency communications
and technical advancement.

Show me where amateur radio in Part 97 is a hobby.
Unfortunately, many hams sit on their favorite frequencies from hour to hour
or day to day debating politics, religion, their health problems - give me a
break.

Oh, yes, and a few discuss the audio enhancement of their foreign equipment.

Allowing a visitor to listen to the hambands would be a definite turnoff.

OK, fire away.
