[Boatanchors] Upgrade question

In my case I tried the practice exams for a couple of days and concluded I
already knew about 80% of the answers.
After getting pushed a bit I took the Extra exam just to see how I could do.
I got 80% correct the first time. The examiner asked if I wanted to try
again? LOL! 80% was good enough for me!

Novice Class examination that I took in February of 1959 in being easy. The
Advanced Class that I took in 1968 was harder. But, the General Class
examination that I took in October 1959 was, by far, the hardest. There
were very few "multiple guess" questions but there were all sorts of "fill
in the blank", draw schematics, and calculate the correct answer (and you
had to "show your work" on scratch paper provided).

the General Class exam. Well, the "2nd phone" portion was, the "1st phone"
was a breeze!

the "wrong" answers. The exact same "wrong" answers have to be on the
examination worded EXACTLY the same as in the pool. The only thing that can
be changed is the order in which they are presented on the examination.

only 2 or 3 on the exam and you can miss them and still get a 94 on the test
(76 is passing). By taking the practice examinations (like on QRZ.com) one
automatically learns the correct answer without a conscious effort. Within
1 or 2 days of taking the practice examinations for about an hour per day
virtually everyone can pass the Amateur Extra examination with flying
colors.

Advanced test I took in 1968. Not only is it easier, the study materials
that are available now are much better than they were in 1968.
