Are the couplers missing or are they just broken?

A couple of years ago while repairing an SX-28 for a friend
I encountered a broken coupler.  It was an easy
matter to drill out the rivets securing the "spiders" 
to the broken insulating disk, fabricate a new disk
out of plastic, then reassemble with small machine
screws and nuts.
