Now hold on a minute...

Anyone who can read will see that all Pete did was mention several
technical details that can result in poor quality reproductions. We all
rely on quality manuals and technical documentation to keep our
boatanchor radios running, and this advice is on topic and indeed
helpful to many individuals.

You might want to re-read Pete's posting, Bob, then come back and tell
us what Pete said that justifies your sarcastic remarks above. I know
my buddy Larry WA9VRH who (as a volunteer) coordinates the archiving and
scanning of documents for the Collins Collectors Association under
license from Collins Radio will be the first to agree with every point
Pete made. There is nothing more frustrating than to download a
"free" manual that has been rendered worthless by scanning practices
that make the details unreadable.

I have no problem with the occasional announcement of products and/or
services of benefit to list members. But Pete did not do so.

73, Bob W9RAN
