Those rigs should all be scrapped!  The phase noise is so bad that they 
can wipe out a good part of the band when signals are strong.

Add one of those brick amps with no bias control that goes into Class C 
on peaks and others might as well as shut off their radios.

HI:

I got a real stinker repair on a six meter Icom 551 transceiver.
My problem is on the board that has the microprocessor and the opto 
senders and receivers for the tuning dial.

I would like to replace that board entirely.  If anyone has a wrecked IC 
551 or 551D would you please contact me for a possible deal?
