I'll assume you mean NC-2-40( ) since they never coded a product NC-240.
Unfortunately, no hits in QST or CQ for NC-2-40. However, it could have
been in a CQ Ham Clinic blurb or equivalent. Could also have been a
"fill-in" blurb to finish off a page.
