[Boatanchors] Speech Amp

I was just attempting to order a 20 watt PA amplifier to use as a speech amp on my Hallicrafters HT-4B (which is the early civilian model of the BC-610.

I need 500/600 ohm input to the HT-4B.  It's my impression that the 70 volt output on a PA amp is 600 ohms.

The salesman I was speaking with told me that's not true.

The amp I was looking at on their website was a 10 watt Bogen with 4 and 8 ohm output, and also 70 volt output.

Again, I thought that the 70 volt output was 600 ohm.

Somebody unconfuse me!
