I, too, live in a rural area and this is one of the reasons I don't sell on eBay any more.  This and Pay Pal.  Another thing is finding boxes and packing material where I live.   If I have to drive to get them, then drive back to drop off the package, I have lost big time.  My round trip is 60 miles since there is no one in the nearby small town that sells packing material.

  Not to mention the high cost of gas!  I live in a rural area, some distance from the UPS Store or their shipping counter.

  Also not to mention the USP Shipping calculator being "off", sometimes quite a bit!

  Add this and Paypal up and you wind up "absorbing" another $15 or more is overhead.  Shipping companies waste no time raising "surcharges" when gas goes up but don't lower prices again when it goes back down!!!
