[Boatanchors] ebay Noose Tightens.

The shipping calculator isn’t perfect but it’s been accurate and a time saver for me. It shows bidders up front what shipping expenses they can expect. In the past before the shipping calculator I got loads of time wasting e-mails from bidders inquiring about shipping costs. Now I just weigh the item then add on what I estimate the weight of the packing materials then plug it into ebay’s calculator. I don’t pad it to make extra money because I also buy on ebay and like to be treated like I treat my buyers. I spot grossly inflated shipping tactics right off thus losing respect for the seller and reduce my bids accordingly. Or most often I don’t bid even if it’s something I want. --- Joe KF9EU

Now you must disclose the Handling costs

You have to pad the shipping costs just to break even... Every time I've used their shipping calculator for UPS it has SIGNIFICANTLY under-estimated the shipping costs...
