Well, that only works until you run into a buyer who is also a seller and who 
knows all the tricks.  Shortly after that, you get listed on Bad-Ham as a 
cheat.  Shipping costs are one thing.  Few buyers to whom you explained the 
situation would expect you to drive 40 miles round-trip just to save them $2 on 
shipping.  But US society in general has come to assume that sellers will bear 
the cost of credit card transactions either directly or by raising the selling 
price.  One of two ways guaranteed to get you kicked off of PayPal or to have 
your Merchant Account canceled is to get caught charging more to a customer who 
uses a credit card than to one who doesn't.
