[Boatanchors] eMail address change question

I will be changing my email address and IP in a few days...moving from dialup to dsl (way up 'on the east side'). I am on numerous lists similar to this one. What would be the simplest way to convey my new email address to the great computers that send out all this wonderful info? I was thinking about unsubscribing with the old address and resubscribing with the new address...would that be proper? or is there a more proper method. This new fangled technology, at times, is a bit foggy to this tuber...
