[Boatanchors] Amps for QRP rigs

Hello,
Thanks to everyone for some of the great ideas. Jim, W5JO suggested a 60's
ARRL handbook. I have a 1966 edition. It has two suitable amps in it, one
uses a pair of 6146Bs and the other uses an 811-A. I will have to look both
of them over very carefully and decide which has parts the most available.
But, they both look doable. I think I already have the iron for the power
supplies, will still need most of the rest. I have a pair of 6146W and a
pair of 6146 plain tubes, but no 811-a.
This should make a great project, that is not too complicated and I "think"
I can tackle.
Any suggestions on which way to go, as far as tubes go from experienced
builders would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
DW Holtman
