I am curious about the beginnings and ending of the LYSCO company. I checked around on Google but nothing much other than a few comments from a 2003 thread. I wonder where the LYS came from...a call suffix or someones initials; who started the company, etc? I have seen the ads from around 1950 into the late 1950's. I can't remember where my 600S was made but my Model 50 coupler was made in Hoboken, NJ. I noticed from the ads that they also had another plant in East Rutherford, NJ. They made several products, of which the transmasters seem to be dominate. They seemed to be going pretty well for a few years. Anyone have any newly discovered info on LYSCO? I use my 600S quite a bit...seems to be simplicity at its finest....Thanks, Bill K4JYS
