Hi Larry,
Wow! It has been forty-three years since an electronics engineer, also a
Ham, built me the two/six meter converter kit for my Hallicrafters S-108.
>From what I later learned, building this converter, perhaps any converter?,
is only for the more skilled among us.
In any event, mine worked beautifully and I was able to copy Ham traffic
'for the second' time on 2M, the first was my first time on the air with my
high school friend and great Ham, K8UZJ, now SK, Mark Decker.
Your mention of it sure brought back a lot of memories for me Larry!
Duane
