The color can be duplicated easily by someone using one of the computer graphics programs. However, to do so requires actually having an original in hand. Otherwise, duplicating the color is going to be really difficult.

As I pointed out several days ago, it would be easy to scan the dial, work with it using a graphics program, and then print on an overhead transparency. Then the original plastic could have the detail removed and the new detail applied.

Unfortunately, it is virtually impossible to work from a photograph. One needs the actual material to be able to duplicate the graphics.

I have asked this question before, but have not as yet come up with a workable solution.

I am restoring a National NC-173 and am trying to duplicate the plastic dial "glass" that is mounted in the cabinet.

The actual plastic piece is not a problem. It is duplicating the three triangle pieces that are glued on the plastic.

If anyone is willing to help please let me know and I can send pix of the 'problem'.

I do not have the skills to use MS Paint or similar programs. I have tried the copy center at the local Staples store but they are unable to copy the exact color of the triangle pieces.
