Back in the day, the Eico 730 was a much wanted and little afforded 
modulator. (for a high school kid)
Later, when AM was losing favor to SSB, I walked into Harrison Radio in 
Farmingdale, NY and there was a 5 foot high display of Eico modulators
  All NEW!!!!
Harrison was dumping their inventory for $20-$30 each.....

I thought about it for a while, but passed on the purchase...(sigh)
