[Boatanchors] Antenna balun question

I recently acquired a 2M7 2 meter beam and it was missing the coax balun.

M2 Antenna Systems web site or the assembly manual does not give any info on 
this balun other than "Balun, RG-6 1/2 wave".

My question is: What would be the proper length for the RG-6 coax ~ 38" (For 
1/2 wave at 2 meters)?

I would appreciate any info, especially from some one who has or has used 
this antenna.
