   The 'handedness' probably is not an issue with a single winding coil - 
no primary-to-secondary phase relationships to maintain, however it might 
make a difference whether the 'hot' or the 'cold' side is connected to the 
windings closest to the outside of the coil, hence closer to any possible 
metal shields or cans, etc...
