Hi Bob, Thanks for sharing that source info on the pesky white pegs.  Another source for 1/8" white rod at the local HOBBY store.  The typically have model airplanes, model cars, train, and stocks construction parts.  And like your experience with Smallparts, a bag of rod was cheap.

I've got a Johnson Navigator in great condition but all the white pegs are missing.  Someone asked me about the pegs.  "What pegs?" I asked.  I had no clue that the Navigator had pegs that exited from the back of the knob and pointed toward the panel.  I removed a knob and sure enough, there were holes in the back.  The pegs sort of remind me of buck teeth on a radio.. hi hi
