[Boatanchors] Cleaning without dis-assembly

Frankly, it doesn't look THAT bad to me. I'd try a paint brush and a vac
with the nozzle replaced with a piece of 1/2" to 1" soft tubing (you can
attach it t the vac w/ duct tape).. Stay away from metal bristle brushes,
especially on unglaged ceramic as it may leave tracks that will arc over
eventually. Ditto for chemicals, even water.

I'd try the above and see if it's good enough.    FIRST, do no harm.
