Carefully!

I dont think there is any set rule Hue, each set is different. I TRY to 
remove all the lead but if it looks as if I will damage wiring or other 
parts I do a snip and clip repair.

Even with all the proper tools Ive found some radios were assembled to defy 
component removal.

Replacing a broken pin in some sockets is easy and impossible in others.
