had to go to Walmart to get a prescription filled on Wednesday (caught
the flu). While there i was looking at the new type/style light bulbs
that are being pushed for helping the world go green on the energy side.

They had GE bulbs that said "dispose of using applicable methods"
because they contain Mercury.

The other type bulb they had, i didn't see a brand name on the packages
but it did warn on the package to not use in the proximity of
communications equipment capable of operating in the range of .45 to 30
or something Mhz. Don't remember just what the number was. If it was
being used in an area of communications equipment, it might be necessary
to reposition the lamp in order to prevent harmful noise from
interfering with the equipment. Thoughtful.

Anybody else seen any warnings on the other brands? I bought a 75 watt
bulb at Lowes but didn't see any of that type information on it. It was
a Sylvania brand. It's on "trial" in the bedroom and so far have not
noticed any problems. Although it in my opinion does not put out the
same amount of light that a regular 75 watt bulb does and the light
appears to be softer so a 100W bulb will be necessary if i want to read
in bed with it.

How's that for worthless information! And only slightly on topic as
well. As i'm quite sick with this FLu, take it easy on me.
