Hi Kim,
    I'd be glad to answer questions, provide opinions, give some (maybe) 
useful guidance, etc.  I've done a dozen+ or so of them.  There is a 
description of removing the RF deck in one of the manuals, I'll have to 
search a bit.  (try Issue 6)  It's not really hard, but it helps to make pix 
&/or diagrams of what wire goes where in the pod on the side, e.g.
    There's a very good step by step by Ray Vasek in the service section of 
The Hammarlund Historian website.  Several manual edtions are available 
there, plus Andy Moorer, jamminpower, has more, in super resolution, on his 
website.
    I've been away most of the day, didn't see your note until now.
