[Boatanchors] Speaker Question

Mike,
You should have no problem using the speakers for about anything. I use a
Motorola Motrac speaker for a bench unit and hook it everything that comes
in when need some sound. Car audio/communications/enterainment stuff, etc.
Just watch to not run it full blast open, one it can blow out speaker, and
two might cause some heating in output of integrated solid state amps.

They, Motorola and GE, will handle quite a bit of power and are designed for
voice range. As one mentioned the GE usually "sounds" better than the MTLA,
esp the older ones.

If you are concerned about impedance match, just add a 4 ohm fixed resistor
in series, works OK.
