[Boatanchors] Harbor Freight blind nuts

All-
I got my blind nut kit from Harbor Freight some time ago. It has been a 
great disappointment, because the force required to install the 6-32 
blind nuts is roughly equal to the force required to strip the mandrel 
threads through the blind nut, ruining it.  I have had some success, 
backing up the blind nut with a steel nut spun onto the mandrel, but 
that prevents installation in a blind  hole (and doesn't always work).
There seems to be a great variation in the required force, between nuts 
of the same size.
