DeOxit is probably the last product I'd want to SPRAY around in there or
around any switch for that matter.
With no plastic involved in a RAL, I used old fashioned Tuner Cleaner
followed up by a very quick dry Brake Clean on my RAL-7. The switch
detent itself got a PB Blaster treatment to dissolve the crud and
followed by more Brake Clean.
No more RF intermittents and the detent acts the way I remember it when
a RAK/RAL were used as emergency backup on one of the USN ships I served
on in the 60's.
The detent is quite pronounced and positive feeling.
