Don't know that I have caught all of this thread but I am a McMurdo Silver 
Collector & Historian.

Beyond the table, in Edition 4, Moore shows the McMurdo Silver 5C with an 
optional crystal filter in 1934 & 1935 for about an additional $10.  The 5D 
follows in 1935 & 1936 with the same, but non-optional, 465 kc crystal 
filter.

I have inspected a 5D.  It's there.
