Pete makes an excellent suggestion to which I would only add:

 - Read the instructions associated with each forum before posting, it
saves a lot of hassle. The classifieds are for posting only, not
discussion, and are set up as such. Email or private message the
seller through the site with questions or to buy.

 - AMfone was established for the enjoyment and promotion of amplitude
modulations in the amateur radio service. Items need to be somehow
relevant to/usable for this purpose. Translation: old dishes, lawn
ornaments, HTs, chain saws etc don't qualify, even if the chain saw is
the one you used to cut your old GriefKit DX-100 in half.

The site works great because 99.9% of the users never need a reminder
or oversight from above. There are more hands-on technical experts
there to answer your questions than you can imagine along with photos,
sound files, schematics, links and so on. It's also a free site,
though contributions do help keep things rolling along.

Like QTH.com and other sites, it's a great tool for buying and selling
but also much more. Questions that stumped me endlessly were answered
there quickly.
