if the good Lord's willin' and the cricks don't rise ... this is the 
non-A model with 12-hour clock and BFO on the sensitivity knob.  Barely 
adequate for SSB, tho good on AM and CW.  Everything seems to work as 
intended, tho as was noted in a reply to my earlier query (tnx to 
both), this is an entry-level (ca. 1956) SWL / Novice rig.  Looks very 
good - clean chassis, tubes checked perfect (as new) on a Hickok 752A.  
Could stand alinement and calibration: the bandspread has to be between 
47 to 80 to get WWV on 10 and 15 mc, and I have to run the RF gain wide 
open (tho  that's partly 'cause I'm using a 6-meter vertical dipole on 
450 ohm window line).  The AF gain is "excessive" - liked to knock my 
ears off ... I have it playing on a local AM station, and can hear it 
all the way to the basement ...
