A friend of mine who is not a ham has a Federal Telephone Manufacturing Comp. that he'd like to know more about. I have some pictures i could forward to anyone who might know about these radios. It's old i can say that but it looks really nice from the pictures i have. Bakelite material for the front plate (it appears). two large tuning dial assemblies on the front say "Antenna Wavelength" on the left side and "Secondary Wave Length" on the right side. There is a "Pull to Operate" switch towards the lower left of the front panel for power. An "Amplification" dial in the low center part of the face plate and a "Selectivity-Volume" control towards the top center of the front panel.

The Front panel has the following engraved into the bakelite. "FEDERAL telephone Manufacturing Corp., Buffalo, N.Y. U.S.A., Serial A2XXXX.

Across the top behind the front panel are the controls "Antenna Compensator", "Amplifier Rheostat", something else "Rheostat" and lastly "2nd AF rheostat". There are 5 tubes ,ounted on a sub chassis at the rear of the radio but i can't make out what they are. I think one is an 80but not sure about the rest.

Anyone know what this might be or where i could find out more about it? I'd like to let the owner know some of the background of it.

Appreciate any references or referrals.
