[Boatanchors] Tube ID

Howdy,

Got a bunch of stuff from an estate and going through found a tube I have
never seen in the 50+ years have been messing around with electronics.

It is a -1006/CK-1006-, made by Raytheon, base labe, JAN-CRP-1006.
Is an -80- size 4pin unit, a dual diode, BUT the anodes? are two ceramic
cylinders?  Did a Google and found where they are for sale, but where/
what were they used for?  Any -MITI- folk have a clue?
