[Boatanchors] Shelby Hamfest - boatanchor rendezvous

Just over 3 weeks away -
The Shelby NC hamfest is one of the largest and oldest hamfests and attracts
boatanchor enthusiasts from across the eastern US. This year it has moved a
few miles up I-85 to Dallas, NC.

A gang of us will be hanging out at the BOATANCHORS!! banner as usual - set
up Thursday Aug 28
through Saturday Aug 30 (some folks stay through Sunday).

Looking forward to seeing you there and swapping gear and tall tales. I plan
to bring an NC-300, SX-62, bunch of Halli and National speakers, and other
vintage stuff to sell/trade. I'm particularly interested in Navy gear from
the 1950's-60's.
