I really don't get the attraction of such things.

I wonder if it's related to the desire for organically grown food (not
grown with artificial fertilizers) or other similar trends which are
yearnings for 'simpler times' when people were better able to cope with a
complex world that they don't understand.  Certainly, the design of these
amps are primitive...  right out of the 1920s.

Anyway, it's totally nuts to me.
