[Boatanchors] need a switch

Bob,
The Fair switches should mount easily and they will probably send the
original mounting screws with it which will work fine if your panel
isn't too thick. It is possible to easily get creative with the
mounting of these switches, in one application I am using two switched
simultaneously. One unit is mounted via a long shaft so the switch is
near the rear of the equipment and the other unit mounts perpendicular
to the first and is driven by a pair of right angle gears salvaged from
a parts unit Galaxy III transceiver. In this case I removed the detent
selector from one switch as these are VERY positive selectors and trying
to turn both of them through the same shaft takes a lot of torque.
The only caution in mounting these switches is to keep the contacts far
enough away from the chassis if you are switching very high voltage.
Fair has these for a great price and you often see them on Ebay for over
$10; I often wonder if some of the ebay folks are just buying them from
Fair and reselling them.
