You'll really be glad you did this, Ron. I've traveled around the
country to retrieve a couple of these beasts (Collins 300G in
Colorado, Raytheon RA-1000 in NC) along with some big military gear.
It's a lot of fun, and you get a lot more for your money. The
experiences and adventures involved can be as interesting as the gear
itself.

It's certainly not for everyone as the equipment requires more
knowledge and hands-on experience than your average ebay purchase.
Oftentimes it also requires a fair amount of work and travel. But
nothing beats the feeling of dragging your treasure down the road and
unloading it at home, with no shippers involved to damage it for you.
