Ray,

I forwarded your list to the ARC-5 mailing list (ARC5 at mailman.qth.net,
website http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/arc5 , where many of us
still appreciate, collect, restore to original condition and use these nice
old pieces of history.
We don't cut them up for parts (except when they're beyond restoration, and
they become parts donors to restoration candidates), we don't hack them up
for VFO's and such.

Subject: [Boatanchors] ARC 5 stuff - LIST

Here's the list of items that we picked up. I got the nomenclature off the
nameplates. The terminology probably means more to you guys than to me. I
only know the old ARC 5 transmitters and receivers that QST published
articles on how to use them on the Novice bands. I do remember as a kid
that some hams converted some of the stuff for use on two meters as well...

There are seven units...

UHF transmitting converter TV-10 has the tubes in it.

Receiver type R-20 (28V) has tubes in it.

Receiver R-11A 190 to 550 kc. Has the tubes and a dynamotor

An ARC 5 transmitter, complete with tubes, including the 1625 tubes. All
there except for the little top cover that went over the 1625 tubes.

CV-265 (ARN 30A) Has the tubes, but no top or bottom cover or dynamotor

R-15 (14 volt) Has the tubes and dynamotor AND the shock mount that the
bottom plate fastened to.

And finally, the T-67/ARC 3. This is the one that has the two 832A tubes
in it. No other tubes or covers. However, the neat little antenna relay
that has the SO-256 antenna connectors built in is still there too.

Let me know if there is still any interest and we'll go from there. I don't
want to get into a bidding war. Mainly want to get these to those who are
collectors/restorers and maybe recoup some of the gas money to go get them
(and the lunch money we spent on the way back HI HI).
