Hi All,

On NPR a few minutes ago the announcer was commenting on Paul Reynolds. 
According to Mr. Reynolds, the President was "Acting like a blind man in a 
room full of deaf people."

Now why is it perfectly alright to use such a description of a blind person 
that makes them out to be clumsy stumbling oafs and demeans the deaf as 
being ignorant of what is going on around them? Now if anything even 
remotely close to this was said about a Black person, or a female, or a 
Mexican, or a Catholic or whomever, there would be a damn war in Washington, 
D.C.! If you listen to the news, watch it on TV, read a newspaper or 
magazine and so forth, this kind of drop kicking the handicapped goes on 
constantly. Just listen and you will hear it. It does not matter if it is a 
news program or a televised football game.

Why do these elected officials, radio and TV announcers, newspaper and 
magazine writers and other people get away with it? Simple answer. The 
handicapped are just that, handicapped! Many of them are not able to speak 
up and defend themselves. Those who can speak up for themselves, as well as 
for those who can not speak up for themselves, and do, are ignored. This 
list is "not" the place for a discussion, but frankly there are a lot of 
handicapped Ham Radio operators out there who do a fantastic job helping 
with various Public Service operations that provide invaluable services to 
"all" Americans and I am damn sick and tired of being kicked in the face by 
the people's lives I am helping to save!

I think that it is time to wake Frogzilla up from his siesta in the 36 inch 
diameter imported Italian white marble bird bath, give him an energy rush 
hop start with a poke in the cheekus buttacus rumpocous with my modified 
electric cattle prod and send him on a search and educate mission! Remember 
that plague of frogs the King James version of the Bible speaks about? 
Remember when it actually rained frogs in Wisconsin several years ago? I 
think it may be time for a purification plague upon politicians, 
broadcasters and journalists brought about by Frogzilla and all five hundred 
thousand of his cousins! There was that movie last century entitled "Mr. 
Smith Goes To Washington", well friends and neighbors, get your kids off the 
streets, fill those swimming pools with fresh water and a few buckets of 
live minnows, throw some Lily Pads and Pussy Willows in for color, tell the 
neighborhood brats ... I mean Bats ... to not eat the Mosquitoes as your 
twelve gauge shotgun loaded with #6 Bat Shot may be hazardous to their 
health, put some little tiny forks and spoons and plates under that 
electronic bug zapper for the frog buffett and then take cover in some kind 
of shelter that is politically incorrect truth proof! For Frogzilla is going 
to Washington and we will soon learn exactly what President Harry S. Truman 
meant by the butt stops here!
