The HG10B is a really really nice and good VFO. But like a lot of
VFO's chirpiness will vary from oscillator tube to oscillator tube.
In my case I found that low-mu tubes give the best stability (maybe
less heating?)

There are some mods for the DX60 to make it less chirpy in
crystal oscillator use but they're probably unnecessary if you're
going to use it with a VFO.
