Hi Bob,
Thank you for your contributions sir. You helped to keep our country free.
Were it not for all the Veterans, and the myriad of supporting roles played
by countless citizens who aided our troops, there would be no America. We
fought to gain freedom at the outset, have fought to keep our freedom ever
since and will continue to be ever viligent, perhaps nowadays more so then
ever before, and fight on to make America truly "the land of the free and
the home of the brave".
I hope that the day 'never' comes when those who advocate the removal of "In
God We Trust" from our coins get their way! We fought not only for freedom
from the King of England, but among other things, the right to worship our
God in our own way. If your way is to not worship any God, so be it. If your
way is to worship as a Protestant, Catholic, a Jewish person or whatever,
that is your right. America was built on a foundation of many freedoms, but
the underlying current of strength was religious. When will America end? The
day those coins read "In God We Once Trusted!
And just for a historical note to ponder on Thanksgiving Day as you
plunder -
Benjamin Franklin did 'not' seriously propose that the Turkey be the
national bird instead of an Eagle. The truth is, Franklin hated the Eagle!
The Turkey was his tongue in cheek way of saying so!
