I found this one up on a shelf in the garage. When and where i obtained
it is long lost in my past.
It's a really nice unit, probably almost an 8 on the scale.
It fired right up but i have some questions if anyone is familiar with
them. This one uses several 6SJ7's and a pair of glass 6L6 output
tubes. Inside it is a place for a couple of plug ins, whether they are
matching networks or just plugs to set a particular impedance i don't
know as the only one in there is a sealed unit. This particular unit
has the plugin module for "low impedance" and says to use a different
one for high impedance. Now my question is, first of all, what did they
mean by "low impedance" on the input side? The output is set for 600
ohms which is what i want but i have no clue about the input. I know
that they, in my heyday anyway, interconnected with a telephone line
carrying the music for distribution within a business or wherever it was
to be used.
Anyone out there familiar with these? Like to put it to use and see
just how good those 6L6 tubes sound.

BTW, Happy Turkey Day to all you great people. And remember what makes
it possible, yep, the troops that went before you.
