Subject: [Boatanchors] Re: Meter Repair...? --- GOOD NEWS!
Good Morning All,
Well, I'm VERY pleased to report that, in the process of getting
access for the removal of my B+ voltage monitoring meter from the
front of my amplifier, the doggone thing has returned to normal
again...!
Good news----
Most likley cause is one of the hairsprings got caught up on
something when the meter was 'traumatised'- seen this several times-
it gets just enough mechanical 'shock' in the right place/time when
disassembling it to drop the spring back off whatever it was caught up
on. Sometimes they stay hooked up and you have to carefully lift them
off to free up the movement.
