[Boatanchors] Drake TR-7

Hello,

A TR-7 followed me home from Dayton. The transmit is excellent, all of
the frequency determining stuff and the PTO are working fine. The
problem is receiver sensitivity. Using a HP 8640B signal generator I
have the following sensitivity. These are approximate, using Minimum
Discernible Signal (MDS) with my ear to get a rough idea of sensitivity.
The lower the frequency the worse the sensitivity. At 3.6MHZ the MDS is
around 700uV, improving as the frequency is increased to 28.1MHZ the MDS
is 70uV. Note, this was with a 2.3KHZ filter in CW mode, changing modes
and filters makes very little difference.

Where would be a good place to start. It is a receive only circuit.

Does anyone still sell the extender boards for the TR-7?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Best,
DW Holtman
