Tom,
TM 11-487A is a reference manual with typically one or two pages on most US
ground communications radios in service at time of publication. Published
1950, 1959 and 1964, it evolved from TM 11-487 published 1944. Beginning in 1950,
11-487 was revised somewhat and split into separate volumes with Volume A
being ground radio. But none of the editions or volumes ever had anything on the
ATD.
The final manual on ATD is NAVAER 08-5Q-39 dtd 08/43. Reprint available for
$24.20 plus shipping.
The only manual I've come across on the REH is a small (thin) unnumbered and
undated Instruction Book. Reprint $4.50 plus shipping. It includes
schematic, parts list and a resistance and voltage chart (bottom view drawing) but not
much other detail.
