[Boatanchors] SB-102 rubber?

Hi all:

Got this Extremely clean and nice SB-102..darn thing puts just about full 
power on 10!...over 100 watts...

...anyway...the rubber 'band' - Oring? - that drives one of the tuning 
variables is slipping on the gear...it rotates..but needs more turning of the know 
than ordinary...

...outside of replacement...any way to address this slipping??

 I have some ideas..but would like to hear from ya...
