Is the big-money customer the broadcast industry (I suppose it's possible
there's some massive rebuild after all the deferred maintenance from the
past 20 years) or, what seemed more likely to me, military subcontracts?

I was keeping quiet and remembering the ads in QST in the beginning
of the 40's where all the radio companies were apologizing and saying
they had all these war department commitments that had to be filled first.
