[Boatanchors] Hammond Cabinets

Well, guys, I received my Hammond cabinet and installed my SP-600 JX-17 in it. I am very impressed. I ordered it from Fair Radio and the catalog number is RCBS1901017BK1

1. The cabinet looks sharp.It's sturdy and well-made. They have an ingenious system of clip nuts that makes it easy to install and to screw the front panel into the cabinet. The SP-600 fit perfectly. (It was a whole lot easier than, for example, fitting an SX-28 back into its cabinet).

2. The speed of delivery was something. I ordered it from Fair Radio via the Internet on Sunday evening and it was at my doorstep on Wednesday afternoon. I believe that Fair Radio notifies Hammond of the order and Hammond ships it to the buyer.

3. I think ventilation will be OK. The cabinet has a half-panel on the rear. I removed that, leaving the entire back end open. It is certainly more open than the cabinet for my SP-200.
