Ed,
The glass isn't going to provide much Faraday shielding at HF radio 
frequencies, regardless of type, if that's what your are concerned 
about.  Lots of old HF broadcast equipment with windows for viewing the 
tubes included a layer of copper screen wire (like window screen) 
attached to the glass, with the screen electrically bonded to the metal 
case around the perimeter of the window.
