[Boatanchors] Swan / Drake?

Hi Guys,
I have often wondered if there is any connection between Swan (eg350) and Drake eg R-4C . The general style of the two front panels look very simular as do the bird names Swan & Drake. Are these two companies in any way interconnected maybe the same graphic designer or is there more to it than just simular front panels.
