Hi Perry,
Yes the sanding of the LED lens sure helps quite a bit. If you are not
happy with the results you can just dip the LED in clear fingernail
polish or whatever else you have laying around to bring it back to the
original clear lens.
220 grit worked well for my meter, surely try other grits too.
ScotchBrite works excellent too. Steel wool, a file, concrete driveway
surface, let the dog chew on it for a while...LOL!!! The possibilities
are endless.
